Articulated jib cranes offer more flexibility than cantilever or tie rod jib cranes. They can be used in spaces that are narrow or difficult to reach—to get around a building column, for example. They are the perfect work tools for applications requiring speed and precision. Articulated jib cranes have either an electric chain hoist, a pneumatic chain hoist or a tube lifter to which a manipulator with suction cups can be added.
Free-standing or wall-mounted
Frontenac Technologies articulated jib cranes can be free-standing, wall-mounted or column-mounted. The free-standing models are anchored to a concrete floor. Wall-mounted articulated jib cranes are anchored to a wall or column. Free-standing jib cranes can rotate a full 360 degrees, whereas movement is restricted in the wall-mounted version. Wall-mounted articulated jib cranes are ideal when floor space is limited, to maximize the work area for personnel.
